<p>Job Purpose</p>
<p>To deliver engaging, inclusive and therapeutic Physical Education lessons that support the educational, social, emotional and mental health development of pupils with SEMH needs. The successful candidate will create a safe, structured learning environment where pupils can develop resilience, confidence, teamwork and physical wellbeing.</p>

<li>Use physical activity and sport to promote emotional regulation, resilience, self-esteem and positive behaviour.</li>
<li>Build positive, consistent and trusting relationships with pupils.</li>

<p>Person Specification</p>
<p>Essential</p>
<ul>
<li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.</li>
<li>Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.</li>
<li>Experience teaching PE at secondary level.</li>
<li>Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.</li>
<li>Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.</li>
<li>Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.</li>
<li>Ability to remain calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations.</li>
</ul>
<p>Desirable</p>
<ul>
<li>Previous experience working within an SEMH, SEND, Alternative Provision or specialist school.</li>
<li>Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches.</li>
<li>Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD or additional learning needs.</li>
<li>Experience delivering outdoor education or enrichment programmes.</li>
