- Grass Roots Academic Support is seeking to appoint a highly effective, innovative and enthusiastic teacher who is a good team player, with the ability to engage and motivate students in Design Technology. NQTs as well as more experienced teachers are warmly welcomed to apply to join this very successful team.
The ideal candidate will hold a DT Qualification, PGCE or equivalent. You will be a specialist in the technical principles previously considered as Resistant Materials, such as timber and metal based materials, polymers and electronic and mechanical systems. In addition to this there may be a requirement to teach other design specialisms as this supports the department with its timetabling, so candidates who can teach a variety of areas or subjects will be particularly appealing.
The school are offering a full time position starting in January for 2 terms initially, with the prospect of this being extended.

* Qualified Teacher Status or related teaching degree
* A proven teaching record and/or high quality references
* A recent and clear DBS Disclosure (a new one can be applied for)
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
