- Grass Roots Academic Support is seeking to appoint a professional and passionate individual to lead the Maths department from good to great. If you are an outstanding teacher and are already, or have the potential to be, an excellent leader, we welcome your application.
The Lead Learner of Maths will have a commitment to academic excellence and a focus on developing a love for Maths at all levels. You will have an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to step up to the challenge of steering the Maths department forward on its journey to achieving outstanding outcomes. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and will inspire every member of the team to play a part in the department’s commitment to academic excellence. You will have a high profile within the school community and attend Extended Leadership Team meetings.
We require you to have considerable teaching experience, be able to articulate a clear educational vision and provide dynamic and inspirational leadership.
You will have the experience, or the potential, to be a capable and energising leader who will manage the delivery of an appropriate Maths curriculum which is challenging for all, differentiated as required and well resourced. You are encouraged to take a fresh look at long term plans, bring new ideas to the table and will have the autonomy to take risks.
The school are offering a full time permanent position.

* Qualified Teacher Status or related teaching degree
* A proven teaching record and/or high quality references
* A recent and clear DBS Disclosure (a new one can be applied for)
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
